Description

 Screen shake, knockback, hit-stops, vfx — all are important in developing a good "feel" for a game, which can dramatically improve a user's experience. This prototype was a culmination of a semester of tweaks to a spaceship sim in order to perfect look and feel techniques.

Controls

- W/S — Fly Forward/Backward
- A/D — Rotate Left/Right
- Space (hold) — Fire Guns
- R — Reset Demo
- 1–3 — Change Ship
- ESC — Close Demo

- Destroying the main space station will summon a large boss.

- Holding fire on the large ship long enough will fire an alternate powerful cannon.

- The small fighter converts most of its velocity while turning allowing it to behave more like a fighter jet than a large ship. The larger the ship, the more it will "drift" when turning.

- Getting burned will result in an overheated debuff that prevents weapons from firing. Likewise, getting irradiated will deal damage over time to the player ship.
