Description

 Originally planned to be a rogue-like bowling game, this 3rd person action hack-and-bowl came about after a lengthy development while learning how to manage scope within a given timeframe.

Gutter Ball is a two semester junior project built in the Unreal Engine using a low poly art style and cartoon-ish gags.

Controls

- W/A/S/D — Move
- Mouse — Look/Aim
- Space — Jump
- Left Click (hold) — Charge throw
- Left Click (release) — Throw ball
- Left Shift (directional) — Dodge
- ESC — Pause/Menu

- Knocking down multiple pins at a time will increase the combo meter to the right of the screen. A higher combo will increase the damage that each throw does, but the combo meter will decay over time if no pins are hit.

- There are items present throughout the level, ranging from health increases to ball charge time decreases to even dodge distance increases.

- When entering a room the doors will lock until all pins in that room have been defeated. Additionally, break rooms with soda cans provide health while also acting as checkpoints.
